Erectile dysfunction (ED) can be improved with HBOT by improving the basic common pathophysiology, atherosclerosis and decreased penile perfusion, which are responsible for most cases of ED.

Recent studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) can induce angiogenesis, creating new and healthier blood vessels, which increases blood flow to the penis. One study showed that 88% of the patients had an increase in intercourse satisfaction, orgasmic function, sexual desire, and overall satisfaction after receiving HBOT.
